Legislators Connect With Ag Issues

Nearly 100 legislators and candidates are better suited to address agricultural concerns thanks to the AgPower Briefing May 6 in Columbus

The briefing, a cooperative effort of the Ohio Livestock Coalition (OLC) and the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation, connected the politicians with experts on food and fuel, animal care and the economic impact of agriculture.

As an active member of OLC, ODPA was represented at the Briefing. Scott Higgins, ODPA CEO, presented on how agriculture continues to be a strong economic engine for Ohio. As a call to action, he asked those in attendance to support growth in production agriculture, new product development and policies that promote and protect food and agriculture.
